Leaders for Environmental Awareness & Protection - Nov 29th!

You are invited to join Leaders for Environmental Awareness and Protection (LEAP) for an evening of discussion regarding climate change action and community involvement. Free pizza will be provided.

Danny Berchenko is a local promoter and environmental enthusiast who has promoted climate change action with organizations such as 350.org, 1sky.org, and the Energy Action Coalition. Mr. Berchenko recently organized a 350.org event for their global 10/10/10 day of action which included building a hoop house for the Findlay Market Urban Garden. This awareness event was part of an effort which included 7,347 events across 188 nations worldwide. His presentation will highlight the three organizations, as well as novel ways to help bring the discussion of climate change to the forefront of current local, national, and global policy making decisions, such as COP17. The discussion will conclude with direct methods for immediate action, as well as coordinating planners for future climate awareness activities.
