UC Law Hosts Panel on Obamacare Mandate Monday, March 14
Join the College for Law for a thought-provoking discussion on President Obama’s healthcare mandate. Gain a greater understanding about several recent district court rulings on the constitutionality of the individual insurance mandate. The panel discussion will be held on Monday, March 14 at 12:10 p.m. in Room 114, College of Law.
Participants include:
Professor Chris Bryant, who will discuss the Commerce Clause issue, as it has been the basis for the two rulings invalidating the law;
Professor Betsy Malloy, who will discuss the healthcare policy considerations that led to the law;
Professor Michael Solimine, who will discuss the justiciability issues raised in the cases;
and, local attorney Jack Painter, advisory board member of the Cincinnati Tea Party and board member of the Ohio Liberty Council, who will also discuss the constitutionality of the law.
This event will be moderated by the law school’s Dean Lou Bilionis.
