The United Black Student Association and the Programs and Activities Council present Mooz-lum. This critically acclaimed award winning film Starring Evan Ross, Nia Long, Danny Glover, RogerGuenveur Smith, Summer Bishil & Dorian Missick is a story about a Muslim boy who comes of age against a politically charged 9/11 backdrop, with deep personal and familial traumas to overcome, and a search for identity that must reconcile his own difficult history with his new
changed reality.

The Lunch and Lecture will take place in the African America Culture Research Center with Qasim “Q” Basir. Qasim has been featured multiple times on CNN, BBC, NPR, BET, Reuters, New York Times, Los Angeles Times and many more. He’s also been invited to the State Department for dinner with Hillary Clinton & Ambassadors from around the world and was recently invited to speak and show his film at the American Embassy in Rome, Italy.

Following the movie in TUC Cinema, Qasim will be available for a Q&A session.

Programs & Activities Council - Seeking New Members

The UC Programs & Activities Council - the group that brings awesome campus activities like comedians, lectures, movies, and the infamous spring concert - is accepting applications for new members.

PAC is hosting two informational meetings for prospective new members next week.  At the meeting, you can learn and ask questions about PAC, membership requirements, and the application process.  You can find more information about this on their "Join PAC" page.

The informational meetings (of which you need to only attend one) are at 6PM on Wednesday, October 6th and Thursday, October 7th.  The meetings will be held in 427 TUC.
