Kimmins Southard Honored with Just Community Award

Another exciting announcment:

It was announced today that RAPP XXIII member, XXV Peer Leader, and XXVI Facilitator Kimmins Southard has been recognized for their hard work at UC as a student activist and leader with the 2011 Just Community Award!

Along with their continued commitment to RAPP, Kimmins has been engaged in a wealth of leadership activities while also performing strongly in studies for a Bachelor of Social Work degree with a minor in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

Among other things, Kimmins is a longstanding leader in GenderBloc, a certified Peer Educator in the UC Wellness Center, active in Friday Night Live, helps organize annual performances of the Vagina Monologues.  This year, Kimmins has interned with Stop AIDS and Caracole.  Surprisingly, this list of involvement is not a complete one!

Please join us in congratulating Kimmins for this prestigious recognition!  They have also been recognized by Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities and been nominated for the C-Ring Award and Presidential Leadership Medal of Excellence.
