Many Hands- One Fun Morning!
1000 Women Strong`s 1st Volunteer Project is to create " Make It, Take It" Kits to enhance childhood education in Price Hill. These kits are simple and educational activities that the childcare providers can do with the children and can be given to the children`s parents for continued education at home.
Date: Saturday, November 13, 2010
Time: 9:30 a.m. to Noon
Location: Seton High School Cafeteria
3901 Glenway Ave.
Cincinnati, OH 45205
Why This Project Makes an Impact:
Family childcare providers in Price Hill are typically women caring for four to six children in their home. Most of the women do not currently possess adequate financial resources for infrastructure and quality educational materials. Previous state and federal training programs and resources have been reduced or completely eliminated due to the economic downturn.
Please come out and support this wonderful cause!

Grailville Bound!
Our groups go on fall retreat this weekend! Tomorrow afternoon, the Tuesday group "heads home" to Grailville retreat center in Loveland, Ohio.
Grailville provides delicious, nutritious eco-friendly food - so we supplement it for folks with sweet tooths with vast amounts of snack food. We also do this to keep people's energy up and stay awake during the sessions on this full on 24-hour retreat.
As I've posted before, the amount of food we bring is a bit staggering. That said, it'll pretty much be gone before the second day ends. Not shown in here are the "back up" meals we bring in case allergies and/or preferences don't work out with the kitchen.
Buried in those piles of junk food are, of course, the "official" RAPP retreat food.
