On April 12th from 5pm-9pm in the Armory Fieldhouse, Gatorade Pong will be held
to help raise money for Mother’s Against Drunk Driving. Participants, for a
small fee of $15, will receive pizza, pop, chips, at least one game of pong,
and a chance to win prizes. First place will win the grand prize of $500, 2nd
place wins $250 and 3rd place wins $150. Raffle prizes include: an Xbox 360
console and Kinect, a handmade UC coffee table, gift cards to local
restaurants, UC gear, Beats by Dre headphones, and a handmade UC tailgating
table. There are three options that UC students have to register; early online,
early in person at the CRC Breezeway on April 2nd, 4th, 6th, 9th from 10am-2pm,
and tournament in-person. All early registrants will receive the discounted
price of $15 dollars per team. The first 64 teams to register will also receive
a first round bye in the tournament. If you’re planning on registering
“tournament in person”, this registration will end at 5:45 on April 12th and
will cost $20.
This is a truly a fun event. We host Gatorade Pong to promote safe drinking and
what’s even more terrific is the fact that all proceeds will go to MADD which
has such an powerful impact on our community. Also, we are hoping this event
will help bridge the gap between athletics and the UC community.
