For
the first time, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati presents a
three-day event to promote its new program model, simply called GRADUATE,
FITFORLIFE and READYTOSERVE. Each day will focus on a different piece of our
program, but together will make up a new weekend titled: BE GREAT Cincinnati.
Our
overall vision of the BGCGC’s first annual Day of Service is one of creativity
and empowerment. The service project will be designed to enable families to
learn the importance of service and working together. Since this is our first
year implementing such an event, the opportunities are endless when planning
the overall day. This is why we feel having student leadership from XU and UC
facilitating the planning process, with support from BGCGC kids and staff, will
result in a day with volunteer activities that are fun, inspirational and make
a lasting impact within our City.
