Greater Cincinnati GLBTQ Youth Group - Meets Sundays!

From the UC LGBTQ Center:

The GLSEN Greater Cincinnati Youth Group is up and running!  And you are invited to join us every Sunday afternoon.  GLSEN Greater Cincinnati Youth Group ("GYG") provides a fun, safe, supportive and confidential environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Questioning High School Youth and their Allies.  GYG will strive to build friendships and explore identity while promoting a peaceful community founded upon equality, acceptance and diversity. 

We meet every Sunday afternoon from 3-5pm at Mt. AuburnPresbyterian Church (no religious affiliation).  (We are not meeting Sunday, December 25th due to the holiday.)

GLSEN Greater Cincinnati Youth Group's next meeting is this Sunday, December 4 
from 3-5pm.  At this Sunday's meeting Shawn Jeffers, GLSEN Greater Cincinnati's Education Outreach Chair, will give a presentation about how to establish and support a gay-straight alliance ("GSA") at your school.  All high school students and your parents/guardians are invited -- We hope you can join us!

Please Note: If you live East of Cincinnati, we are pleased to let you know about a similar group called the ClermontCounty Teen Alliance.  Clermont County Teen Alliance, run by ChildFocus, is a safe space for teens ages 14-18 who identify themselves as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning or straight.  The purpose of the group is to facilitate social activities and to provide education and resources that support safe school environments for all youth.  Snacks and beverages will be provided.
