Volunteer with Children's Hunger Alliance!

From an AmeriCorps Volunteer:

Do you have an interest in Education? Children? Health? Fitness? Earning quality service hours? Volunteers with Children’s Hunger Alliance!

CHA is looking for volunteers to work with us at after school programs serving children K-8 at schools, YMCA’s and Boys and Girls Clubs around the Greater Cincinnati Area from October 2012-August 2013. Volunteer times are usually around 3:30pm-4:30pm and can be Mondays-Fridays, you can volunteer as much or as little as you would like.

At these sites we teach a Food Folks program where we make healthy snacks with the children and teach them about healthy alternatives within in the food pyramid. We also have a CATCH PE program where we work with the children in a “gym” setting playing all kinds of games with a goal for the children to reach moderate to vigorous activity. These two programs are part of CHA’s vision to end childhood hunger and obesity.

Volunteers would be helping with answering children’s questions and playing CATCH games with the children or anything else that interests you. It is a very fun and rewarding experience that brings a little Neverland to college routines. If you want to get in touch with your inner child and earn service hours please contact Jasmine Poole at jpoole@childrenshungeralliance.org or 859.992.2082.
- A great resume builder! I look forward to hearing from you!
