Shades of You Annual Prom Dress Bazaar

The women of Shades of You welcome you to volunteer for our annual community service event of the year. Our Prom Dress Bazaar is an opportunity for young ladies to receive a prom dress that they otherwise may not have been able to afford. This event will take place during spring quarter 2011 with the theme of “Old Hollywood”. We need volunteers to help collect dresses, and set-up on the day of the event. Your help is not only greatly appreciated but also imperative to the success of this bizarre.

Over winter break we ask that you dig out those old prom/homecoming dresses and ask friends and family to do the same. Then bring them back to campus when classes resume for donation to our wonderful event. Dresses can be dropped off at the Women’s Center (5th floor of Steger Student Life Center) or in the African American Cultural and Resource Center (AACRC), or with Fevean Keflom (614.940.2046, keflomfn@mail.uc.edu) or Brittnay Cummins (513.254.6225, cumminby@mail.uc.edu).

For those of you interested in getting involved in one of the ways mentioned above, or in any other way please contact Brittnay Cummins or Fevean Kelfom. Thank you so much for all of your help, we are really excited about the Prom Dress Bazaar and hope to make a difference in the lives of young women in the Cincinnati Public School system. Make sure your apart of something this great!!
