Submissions Sought for BROAD Magazine on LGBTIQ Topics & Experiences - Due Jan 12th!

Via the Social Justice Training Institute listserv:

BROAD magazine is a student-run online publication supported by the Women's Studies& Gender Studies department at Loyola University Chicago. BROAD provides a space for student and community discourse on a broad range of topics related to feminism and social justice through a variety of voices of scholars, artists, and activists.

The theme for the next issue (due out in mid-January) is LGBTIQ. Submissions do not have to be academic and can take the form of personal writing, poetry, artwork, persuasive writing, etc. We would really like to see as diverse a range of opinions, experiences, and topics as possible. These can be on media and LGBTIQ representation, a book review, on asexuality, intersex people and sexuality, comics involving queer characters, the criminal justice system and queer people's incarceration, and beyond.

Submissions should be sent to broad.luc@gmail.com by January 12!
