Roundtable on Students of Color & Study Abroad

From UC International:

Ethnic Programs & Services, the AACRC, and UC International are collaborating on a roundtable featuring students of color who have international experience.

Roundtable discussion at the African American Cultural and Research Center

When: Tuesday, May 25th, 2010 @ 5:00pm

Where: African American Cultural and Research Center

We hope that hearing the stories of experienced travelers will expose students who have not traveled abroad to the possibility and generate excitement about the opportunities study abroad can offer. We will discuss Scholarships, On-Campus Resources, and the concept of the "Five F’s,” a phrase coined by President of Bennett College for Women, Johnetta B. Cole. President Cole believes the five reservations students of color have about traveling abroad are; Finances, Fear, Faculty, Family, and Friends. What are your thoughts?
