Rallies: University of Cincinnati and Miami University Students Unite Against Hate  
Coinciding rallies in Cincinnati and Oxford planned in response to anti-gay hate crimes

CINCINNATI April 5 2012 – This Thursday, Students at Miami University and the University of Cincinnati will hold coinciding rallies at 5pm in Oxford and Cincinnati, respectively, in response to a brutal hate crime that left two gay students bloody and battered early Sunday morning in Oxford.


WHAT: Miami University and University of Cincinnati Anti-Violence Rallies
WHEN: Thursday, April 5 2012 at 5pm
WHO: Miami’s Spectrum and UC’s Alliance 
WHERE: University of Cincinnati students will convene at the corner of Martin Luther King Drive and Clifton Ave while Miami students will gather at the Phi Delt Gates on Miami’s Campus.

UC Alliance is a student group that aims to develop interpersonal relationships in a social and educational atmosphere through activities and events for the LGBTQ community and its allies. 

Miami Spectrum is a visible support group of involved students that creates a safe and supportive Miami-Oxford community by promoting education and awareness around LGBTQA issues
