UC Alumni Association Seeks Board of Governors Nominations

New at-large members would serve for two years and help set strategic direction for the organization's future.

The University of Cincinnati Alumni Association has always relied upon the dedication and expertise of volunteers to help the organization fulfill its mission.  Chief among these volunteers are members of the UC Alumni Association Board of Governors, who help set strategic direction for the organization while effectively extending its reach into diverse parts of the community.

The UC Alumni Association is seeking qualified, engaged and impassioned individuals to serve a term on the Board of Governors as at-large members.  At-large terms run two years.  New terms would begin on July 1, 2012.  Candidates do not have to reside in the Cincinnati area to serve on the Board.

Responsibilities of members of the Board of Governors include:

• Attend three to four board meetings per year which are likely, but not necessarily, on campus (conference-call arrangements will be available as necessary);
• Serve on board committee(s);
• Seek to promote strong engagement with, and support for, the university throughout the alumni community and beyond; and
• Act as ambassadors for the university and UC Alumni Association as appropriate
