UC Participates in National Day of Silence - Apr 15th!
Day of Silence(DOS) is a day of action in which students across the country take some form of a vow of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools and communities.
Thursday, April 14th
•Informational Meeting. 6:00 p.m. @ UCWC, 571 Steger Student Life Center
Informational meeting on the Day of Silence including the purpose, how it will work, an explanation of the day’s activities and the distribution of DOS cards to use throughout the day.
Friday, April 15th
•Silent Lunch. 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. @ 743 Steger Student Life Center
Lunch will be provided, along with a silent space and materials for people to express themselves through writing and/or art.
•Breaking the Silence. 5:00 p.m. @ TBD
