Next week incoming first year students arrive, cardboard boxes in
hand, to move into the residence halls. The Office of Sustainability will be there,
Thursday and Friday 9am to 9pm, leading our annual Move In Recycle campaign.
Last year we collected over eight tons of cardboard, and this
year we hope to collect even more. But we need your help! We
are looking for volunteers to help crush, carry and recycle boxes as we attempt
to “green” this annual Bearcat migration.
We will provide refreshments, gloves and plenty of
pep. As little as two hours of your time could go a long ways towards
helping us successfully divert recyclables out of the waste stream.
